Materi Bahasa Inggris (Simple present tense)

• Kebiasaan (habitual action) atau perbuatan yang terjadi berulang-ulang atau terus-menerus.
  Contoh:
  My mother often reads newspaper in the morning.
• Kebenaran umum (general truth) yang tidak dapat dibantah.
  Contoh:
  There are seven days in a week.
• Membenarkan hal yang akan datang yang berkenaan dengan jadwal, program, acara, atau aktivitas lain yang terencana.
  Contoh:
  The event starts with an attractive dancing.
• Menyatakan perintah
  Contoh:
  Open the window!
• Stative verb/kata kerja yaitu kata kerja yang menunjukkan waktu sekarang ,tetapi selamanya tidak boleh dibentuk dalam continuous melainkan harus dalam simple present.
  Contoh:
  Are you liking London? = Salah
  Do you like London? = Benar

Rumus Simple Present Tense

• Bentuk kalimat positif: Subject + verb 1 + O
  Contoh kalimat:
  We drink milk every morning.
• Bentuk kalimat negatif: Subject + don’t/doesn’t + Verb 1 + O
  Contoh kalimat:
  He doesn’t speak English every day.
• Bentuk kalimat interogatif: Do/does + subject + verb 1 + O?
  Contoh kalimat:
  Do you always go to school by train?
